The Amazingly Fast Japanese Shinkansen

For those who don’t know it, “Shinkansen” is the name of the Japanese bullet train.  In Japanese, “Sinkansen” basically means “the new main line.”  For all of us, it means “super-fast and comfortable travel”.

This video shows some Shinkansen passes achieving 603 km/hour or 374 miles per hour. This looks amazingly fast!  The train is using magnetic levitation, and is basically flying over the railroad.
